DragonNET e-mail

What is DragonNET

New Jersey Wing has developed DragonNET as a web-based portal and application suite powered by Google.  It provides email service to our Wing. It also provides us with the rest of the Google Suite features, such as: Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meets, Classroom, and more.

DragonNET increases the professionalism of our appearance when we work with agencies outside CAP.  It allows access from any web connected device. DragonNET is THE official electronic communications method for all CAP related business in NJ Wing.


Your DragonNET email account is generally created at the beginning of the month, following the month that you join. For example, if you join CAP in the middle of October, your email account will generally be set up in the beginning of November. 


Accessing your email on a computer

Easiest way to access your email account on a web browser is by navigating to Gmail

You will log in using the following credentials



Your name will be as it appears on your CAPID Card.  It is especially important to add the at the end when logging in.


Password: njXXXXXX (replace the X's with your CAPID). Once you log in, you will be prompted to change your password.


Accessing your email on an iPhone or iPad

On your iPhone or iPad, you can access your email by downloading the Gmail app, or by using iOS Mail app. 


To use the Gmail app, download the app from the app store. Open the app, and input your credentials like you would if you were accessing it from a web browser. 


To use the iOS Mail app, we have to create the mail account first. 

Tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account > Google > Input your DragonNET Email account (remember the > Enter your password > Choose what you would like to Snyc (Mail, Contacts, Calendar) > Save
