Commander's Corner

Welcome to Bayshore Composite Squadron

On behalf of the entire Bayshore Composite Squadron, welcome to the website of Bayshore Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol.  Since 1941, Civil Air Patrol (CAP) has served local communities and the Nation.  As the Official Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, and part of the USAF Total Force, CAP has three primary missions:  Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs.

Our headquarters is located at Christian Brother’s Academy in Lincroft, NJ.  We meet Wednesdays in Henderson Hall on Campus from 6:45-9:30pm. I encourage you to come take a look and see if CAP would be a good fit for you. We meet weekly year round, except for the day before or after major holidays. For example, day before Thanksgiving or the Week between Christmas and New Years. Visit our How to Join tab to see more information about coming to visit a meeting.  You can also join our weekly email newsletter, here, and stay informed about what's new in the Squadron!

Our Cadet Program is intended for young adults from age 12-18.  Our Senior Member program is offered for adults aged 18 and over.  We are always looking for youth and adults who are interested in serving their community.  We offer a wide range of activities unmatched in other youth organizations.  From a military-style leadership development system (without any military commitment), to flight training opportunities, participation in STEM and Cyber Patriot, and summer time activities that can match any interest.  CAP is an excellent opportunity for both youths and adults to give back to the community, and further their education in a professional all-volunteer organization.  Our Cadet Program gives young adults the chance to serve in various leadership roles, and participate in numerous activities.  Adults in CAP not only serve as chaperones and leaders to the cadets, but also progress in their own professional development and promotion system.  CAP is the place to learn and develop
